New Homes for Small Sites
Bernard Shaw & Foster Court
The story so far
Between June and November 2022, Camden's New Homes for Small Sites team engaged with residents on various estates to discuss the construction of a small number of new homes.
Cabinet decision
On February 22, 2023, Camden Council's Cabinet approved the initial phase of the Small Sites program. This phase will involve designing new affordable council homes for Social Rent and Camden Living Rent across five estates, including on Bernard Shaw & Foster Court. The potential small sites being considered on the estate are shown below.

Why Small Sites?
Camden is dedicated to delivering 1,800 new council homes throughout the borough to address the housing crisis and meet the needs of local communities. Our goal is to provide affordable, high-quality housing for families while promoting energy efficiency and combating climate change. By exploring opportunities beyond large-scale regeneration projects, we aim to utilise spaces across Camden to create or support building of new homes.
